Ecclesia Ministers Conference Terminology
1) President: The President of Ecclesia, Inc. is by necessity an ordained EMC member. By virtue of his office in the corporation, he also serves as the presiding officer (president) of the EMC, giving general oversight, designating and/or approving all appointments under the Board of Governance. He faithfully stewards the life, values, vision, relationships, and wholehearted involvement of the EMC.
2) Host: A guest minister may attend our EMC sessions when invited and hosted by an EMC member in good standing.
3) Sponsor: An applicant minister may apply to the Credentials Committee for membership when he is properly sponsored by an ordained EMC member is good standing. The sponsor will continue to lead the approved candidate through the credentials process.
4) Co-Sponsor: In the event that an Ecclesia Minister is not yet fully authorized to sponsor, and he wants to invite someone to join, we can ask a eligible sponsor to co-sponsor with him.
5) Mentor: Each EMC member will have available to him/her an authorized mentor.
6) Mentor Couple: A single woman EMC member will have available to her an authorized mentoring couple (husband and wife team).
7) Spiritual Leader: Each EMC member will be regularly accountable to his/her Spiritual Leader who may or may not be a member of the EMC.
8) Application: Each applicant/member will have on file with the EMC clerk’s office a properly completed application with all requested references and supplementary information. There is no required application fee. (Individual freewill offerings are accepted if and when the applicant so desires.)
9) Annual Questionnaire: Each EMC member will complete and return to the EMC clerk’s office the Annual Questionnaire by November 1 of the current year.
10) EMC letter: Each EMC member will receive a regular letter containing a message from the presiding officer (Ecclesia president) with other pertinent communication.
11) EMC General Assembly: The EMC General Assembly convenes annually in the spring. Each member should register. There is no registration fee. (To offset expenses, individual freewill offerings are gratefully accepted any time throughout the year if and as the EMC member so desires.)
