EC Online Frequently Asked Questions

Are degrees offered through EC Online accredited?
Yes! Ecclesia College receives institutional accreditation for higher education with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). ABHE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). See our Accreditation Page for more information.

What degrees do you offer online?
We currently offer two online degrees: Associate of Biblical Studies and Bachelor of Christian Leadership. (We plan to increase our degree offerings in the next few years.) If you would like to view descriptions of our degrees, please visit the EC Online Degree Page.

How much will it cost for me to take classes online at Ecclesia?
The gifts of like-minded donors make it possible for us to offer a generous subsidy, bringing our $475 online credit hour down to the very palatable rate of $266.33 per credit hour. Therefore, a 3-hour online course at EC costs you only $799.*

Can I receive Financial Aid to help pay for my online studies?
Yes! Applying for Financial Aid will help reduce your tuition cost. Maximum Pell grants for each semester now total $2,775/semester for those students with the most need. To get started, fill out your FAFSA form for the upcoming school year online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Does the school offer/accept any loans that can help pay for my classes?
We accept loans to help you pay for your education. Review our loan options below for more information, or to apply.
Stafford Loan: www.studentloans.gov
Parent Plus Loan: www.studentloans.gov

I have attended several colleges over the years. How can I find out how many more credits I need to take in order to graduate from EC Online?
The first thing you must do is have your transcripts sent from all other colleges and universities to the address below (transcripts are not considered official unless they are sent directly from one institution to another):

Attn: Registrar
Ecclesia College Online
9653 Nations Drive
Springdale, AR 72762

Once we receive all of your transcripts, we can determine how many more credit hours you will need to take in order to graduate from Ecclesia. All students are required to take at least 30 hours from Ecclesia in order to graduate from the College. (The entire Bachelor's degree is 128 hours.)

When can I start taking classes online?
The wonderful thing about studying online is that a person may start classes on any of the offering periods throughout the entire year. The structure of online studies is designed for working people with busy schedules. Because of our frequent offering periods, a person will be able to create a class schedule that correlates with his/her personal schedule. To view a listing of our current offering periods, please see the EC Online Course Schedule.

How do I get enrolled into classes for online studies?
Once you have complete your Financial Aid process and paid for your tuition balance, a representative from our Student Services Department will assist you in enrolling into your classes.

How do I obtain course textbooks and how do I pay for them?
You will receive information on textbooks once you have been officially enrolled. Textbooks may be purchased from our online provider and will be shipped in a timely manner. (It is wise to order textbooks at least one week in advance.)  Click here to learn more about textbooks.
