Credentials Procedures

EMC Credentials Procedures: Scenarios

Guest: One may attend the Ecclesia Ministers Conference meetings as a guest of a licensed or ordained member.
Applicant: One may apply for EMC credentials or recognition of existing credentials with the nomination of his sponsor who is already an EMC ordained minister in good standing.
Candidate: One is qualified as a candidate for commissioning, licensing, or ordination upon approval of the EMC Credentials Committee.
Certified: The first step of EMC credentials is Certified status, after which one may proceed to second step of Licensing then to third step of Ordination.
Licensed: The second step of EMC credentials is Licensed status, after which one may proceed to the third step of Ordination.
Ordination: The third step of EMC credentials is Ordination status.
Renewed: Renewed is the annual renewal of credentials based upon receipt by due date the completed Annual Questionnaire in the Headquarters Office of the EMC Clerk.
Lapsed: Lapsed is the status of one’s credentials when the Headquarters Office of the EMC Clerk does not receive before due date the completed Annual Questionnaire.
Suspended: Suspended is the status of one’s credentials while his credentials are being studied for viability.
Reinstated: Reinstated is the status of one’s credentials when he has met the necessary conditions for reinstatement.
Dropped: Dropped is the status of one’s credentials when he initiates the severance of EMC membership.
Removed: Removed is the status of one’s credentials when the EMC initiates his removal from the EMC.
Dismissed: Dismissed is the status of one’s EMC membership usually for conduct not becoming a minister of the gospel.
Endorsed: Endorsed is the term used for ministers the EMC can confidently endorse.  We follow the Biblical admonition to “bless and curse not,” yet should not righteously endorse those we do not know.  “Know them that labor among you.”
Probation: Probation is the term used for those who for some reason may be awaiting re-approval after conduct not becoming to a minister of the gospel.
